Technology
Quick Link:
Our technology enables companies to rapidly access and integrate multiple heterogeneous information sources, including databases, Web sites, programs, and Web services. The Fetch approach relies on computing power, rather than programmer brain power, to handle many of the complex issues that arise when gathering information from disparate sources. We are pushing the frontiers of information agent technology, which has had an increasing role in many business areas, including sales intelligence, competitive intelligence, customer relationship management, and content management.

Below we list the technologies developed at Fetch, including technology that is currently embedded in our products, as well as customized solutions that we build on top of our products.

Web Agents
A Fetch agent is a software program, or “web robot”, that enables online sources to be queried as if they were databases.
Information Extraction
Fetch Technologies has developed advanced algorithms for extracting information from documents and Web pages.
Data Aggregation and Integration
Fetch Technologies' high-performance agent execution server enables data to be aggregated from a wide variety of sources. Our technologies can be configured to clean, transform and standardize extracted data, storing the results in a source-independent format.
Record Linkage
Fetch Technologies has developed a machine-learning approach to record linkage that has a significant advantage over expert systems in that the knowledge required to link records is automatically derived, rather than manually encoded, dramatically reducing manpower requirements and increasing accuracy.
Information Monitoring
Fetch enables users to specify which types of pages should be monitored, and which data fields on those pages should be checked. Sophisticated monitoring conditions can be set up, so that alerts are generated only when these conditions are met.
