How to add PlayStation gift card to child account
If your child’s PlayStation account is linked as a sub-account under your master account, they are only able to access the PlayStation wallet to spend existing funds, but they are not able to add funds to the wallet themselves; child accounts do not have their own wallet.
To add PlayStation gift card funds to your child’s account:
- Redeem your PlayStation gift card in the PlayStation Store using the above instructions (found under “How to use PlayStation gift card / How to redeem PlayStation gift card code”).
- Then go to “Settings.”
- Click on “Family and Parental Controls.”
- Click on “Family Management.”
- On this screen, you should see your child’s account; if not, you will need to first add them by clicking on “Add Family Member.”
- Click on your child’s PlayStation profile.
- Scroll down to “Parental Controls.”
- Scroll down to “Monthly Spending Limit.”
- Here, you can set the amount of funds your child can access from your family’s master PlayStation account wallet, ranging from $0 to “Unlimited.”
- Click “Confirm.”

How to check PlayStation gift card balance without redeeming

- Log into the PlayStation store using your account information.

- Click on “Payment Management.”
- Your PlayStation account wallet balance will be shown at the top of the screen.
