Can You Use Fetch Gift Cards In-Store?

Yes, most Fetch gift cards can be used in-store if you so choose. However, this is not the case for all gift card rewards in the app; certain Fetch rewards, like Amazon gift cards, for example, can only be redeemed online.

How to tell which Fetch gift cards can be used in-store

To find out which Fetch gift cards can be used in-store prior to actually redeeming your points for a gift card in the app:

1. Open the Fetch app.
2. Go to the Rewards tab. 
3. Select the reward category (Retail, Entertainment, etc) or click “View all,” and scroll through the gift card options. If a gift card can be used in-store, it will actually say “In-Stores” underneath the store name; if the gift card cannot be used in-store, it will instead say “Online only” underneath the store name.

How to use Fetch gift cards in-store

Once you’ve determined your gift card can be redeemed in-store, actually using your Fetch gift card at the store is easy.

You can either print out your Fetch gift card page (showing your Claim Code) and present it to the cashier when checking out, or you can simply pull up the gift card in your app and show the barcode or Claim Code on your mobile device.

Similarly, some retailers, like Target or Kohl’s, allow you to enter your e-gift card number in their store’s own app, apply the balance, and add it to your digital wallet. Then, when you check out, you show the in-app barcode to the cashier.

How to print a Fetch gift card

The process of printing your Fetch gift card is the same as printing any other page via your smartphone:

1. Open the Fetch app.
2. Go to the Rewards tab.
3. Click on your gift card reward.
4. Click on “View redemption instructions.” Once on this page, you should see your Claim Code.
5. At the bottom of your browser, click on the share button (which looks like a square with an arrow in the center pointing up from the center of the square), scroll down to where you see “Print,” and click “Print.”

Do Fetch gift cards expire?

It depends on the gift card. Most Fetch gift cards do not expire, but some do have an expiration date. To find out whether or not your gift card has an expiration date:

1. Open the Fetch app.
2. Go to the Rewards tab.
3. Click on the gift card reward in question.
4. Click on “View redemption instructions.”
5. On this screen, in the fine print, you will either find an expiration date or text reading, “No expiration date.”
