Celebrate National Taco Day With Fetch

By James Robinson

August 30, 2024

We’re kinda over some annual celebrations. Arbor Day? Meh. Valentine’s Day? Don’t get us started. Groundhog Day? Great movie, terrible day.

But National Taco Day? That’s one we can get behind, and we’d like the whole Fetch fam to get behind it, too. Enough support and we’ll create an official national holiday during which everyone skips work and the president officially pardons one Black Bean Supreme 🌮

So, consider this less a quick overview of National Taco Day and more mobilization orders. Regular Taco Tuesday is great and all, but no way should trees have a national holiday when tacos don’t.

When is National Taco Day?

Since National Taco Day began in 2009, this sacred day has fallen on October 4th each year, but starting in 2024, Taco Bell petitioned to have the holiday moved to fall on a Taco Tuesday, so National Taco Day is now the first Tuesday in October (in 2024, that’s October 1st). Besides offering the ideal excuse to indulge in a savory tortilla liberally stuffed with anything from seasoned vegetables to grilled seafood, it’s a time to take advantage of deals both at restaurants and at grocery stores for your favorite fixins.
