The Best Sonic Roblox Games According to My 8-Year-Old

If your kid is anything like mine, chances are good two of their favorite things are Sonic the Hedgehog and Roblox. And if you mash those together? You’ve got hours of high-speed fun, ring-collecting chaos, and Blue Blur fandom all wrapped up in the wild world of Sonic Roblox games. From racing through Green Hill Zone to customizing their own Sonic avatar, there’s no shortage of ways to experience Sonic in Roblox.
But before we speedrun through the top Sonic Roblox games, let’s talk about how we’ve started funding my kiddo’s Sonic obsession with free Roblox gift cards we earned using Fetch.
How we earn free Roblox gift cards just by playing games (yes, really)
You know that moment when your kid asks for Robux again? We’ve all been there (often many times a week, if not daily). That’s where Fetch Play comes into the picture. It lets you earn points just by playing mobile games. Rack up those points, and you can redeem them for Roblox gift cards—no spending required!
Here’s how it works:
- Download the Fetch app: Get the free app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Go to the “Play” tab: Head to the “Play” section to see a list of mobile games you can earn points for playing.
- Pick a game: Find a game that looks fun, tap “Play now,” and follow the prompts to download it. (Make sure you always go through the Fetch app so your progress counts!)
- Play and earn points: Complete the listed goals (like reaching a certain level), and you’ll automatically earn Fetch Points.
- Redeem points for Roblox gift cards: Once you’ve earned enough, just go to the Rewards section in the app, search “Roblox,” and choose your gift card. Hello, free Robux!
We’ve made a little tradition out of it: my son picks a new game to try from Fetch Play each week, and when the points start rolling in, we use them to get Robux to fund our next family Roblox gaming session. So yes, you can literally earn free Robux just by having fun. Total parenting win!
Sonic + Roblox = a kid’s dream combo
Let’s be real: Sonic has been speeding through video games for decades now, but when you add him into Roblox’s world of user-created games? The possibilities are endless. You’ll find racing games, open-world adventures, parkour obstacle courses, and even full-on Sonic story modes. Whether your kid is Team Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, or Shadow, they’ll find hours of fun within the world of available Sonic Roblox games.
And now, after extensive “research” from my 8-year-old gaming expert, we’ve rounded up the top 7 Sonic games on Roblox that are worth checking out.
7 Sonic Roblox games you’ll want to check out
1. Sonic Speed Simulator
If you only play one Sonic game in Roblox, make it this one. This is the official Sonic Roblox experience—and it’s a blast. Players level up by running and collecting Chaos Orbs, which increases their speed and lets them unlock trails, skins, and other fan-favorite characters. The game is full of loop-de-loops, grind rails, and special worlds that keep kids coming back.
Why my son loves it: “I think it’s cool that it updates a lot, and it has so many different versions of characters to play as. I like Race Suit Jet and Espio and Gold Style Omega.”
2. Sonic Pulse
More than just a game, Sonic Pulse is a massive roleplay universe. You can customize your own Sonic OC (original character), explore maps like Cash City and Green Isles, and hang out with other players in a very chill setting. It’s great for creative kids who love designing characters and telling stories.
Why my son loves it: “I like that you can create your own Sonic OC. The jump-and-spin animation is cool.”
3. Sonic RPG
For kids who love leveling up and battling baddies, Sonic RPG is a must-try. This game features classic turn-based battles with a Sonic twist. You can unlock characters, take on powerful enemies, and explore Sonic-inspired zones.
Why my son loves it: “I actually really like this game. I like all the moving animations, I like that you can transform into characters. There are always cool things to explore in these maps.”
4. Sonic Generations Project Revival
Love the old-school and modern Sonic vibes? This game blends both. You can explore both retro pixelated worlds and sleek modern ones, playing as your favorite Sonic characters in a cool multiverse setting.
Why my son loves it: “There’s a Tails Tube YouTube channel. I think this game is made by the same people who do that channel.
5. Sonic Onset Adventure
This game takes everything great about 3D Sonic games—speed, jumps, loops—and delivers a polished open-world adventure. It’s still being developed, but what’s there so far is super fun. Expect dramatic music, big jumps, and major “wow” moments.
Why my son loves it: “This game wants you to test your speed and see how fast you can be. It’s got a different aspect than most of the Sonic games.
6. Sonic Blast Adventure RP
Explore detailed maps inspired by Sonic Adventure (Dreamcast nostalgia, anyone?) and meet other fans in this massive RP hub. Tons of characters to try out, from Sonic to Shadow to Amy, and lots of fun social hangouts.
Why my son loves it: “It’s just an RP game where you can become characters and just run around. Most RP games let you customize your outfit.”
7. Sonic Galaxy: Remastered
Last but definitely not least: Sonic Galaxy. This game lets you zoom through massive stages, collect rings, and even unlock secret zones. It feels like a classic Sonic adventure game with a Roblox twist, and there’s enough to keep any fan entertained for hours.
Why my son loves it: “I like how it’s a mix of old games versus the new games. Everything looks blocky, but the Sonic characters look so realistic. Also, I love this game because there’s a McDonald’s in it.”
