What is Woodoku and how do I play?
Woodoku is a fun, addictive block puzzle game that will appeal to fans of classic puzzle games like Tetris and Dr. Mario. Gameplay takes place on a 9×9 “wood” board, and the object of the game is to drag differently-shaped blocks to the board and arrange them in a way that fills rows, columns, or squares.
You have three shaped blocks to play with at a given time and, for every block you successfully place on the board, you’ll earn points; filling rows, columns, or squares and clearing these blocks from the board will earn you more points and help you get a higher score.
The game is over once you run out of space on your board, which is why making as many matches and clearing as many blocks from the board as you can is essential if you want to get the best possible score.
Is Woodoku free to play?
Yes, it is! Just like the Fetch App itself, Woodoku is totally free to download and enjoy. While you may occasionally receive a message asking if you’d like to spend money on in-game purchases, these transactions are totally optional and only intended to help you speed up gameplay. You’re still able to play Woodoku at your own pace, all for free.
Can I make money playing Woodoku?
No, Woodoku does not pay actual money, regardless of how good your score is or how many points you earn. The best way to actually earn rewards you can use to save money is by playing Woodoku through the Fetch Play library; that way, you’ll earn Fetch Points for completing tasks in the game, and those points can be used to get free gift cards to tons of popular stores and brands.

More Woodoku hacks, tips & tricks
Some people prefer to not have any spoilers when it comes to playing a brand-new game, and we get that. Part of the enjoyment of playing a new game is that sense of surprise and not always knowing what’s next. That said, there are a few basic questions we get asked a lot that are worth answering right up front to help you along your way, so here are the most frequently-asked questions we hear about Woodoku.
How to win at Woodoku
There are lots of strategies you can find online if you’re looking to “up” your Woodoku gameplay skills. Ultimately, many of them boil down to needing to be able to think one, two, or even three steps ahead and really strategize critically. Here are some of our favorite tips we’ve come across that may help you in winning at Woodoku and beating your own high score:
- Look for matches, which will help you clear space: Take stock of your current set of blocks and and think about how you can make the most matches in either straight lines or squares.
- Always try for multiple matches: Making multiple matches in one go is far better than going for single, individual matches each time, so try to examine your board as you play to look for ways you can set yourself up for multipliers wherever possible.
- Don’t leave single open spaces: It’s rare for you to get single blocks, which makes it all the more important for you to leave larger gaps that will be easier to fill with the more common block types; it can otherwise be more challenging to get rid of those single spaces.
What is the Daily Challenge in Woodoku?
The Daily Challenge in Woodoku is your daily opportunity to collect and win gems by completing a specific challenge. The object of each day’s challenge (however many gems you are tasked with collecting) will be explained at the top of the screen. Once all gems have been collected, the challenge ends.
To have a go at today’s Daily Challenge, all you have to do is tap “Play” within the Daily Challenge tile, located in the game’s lobby. You are only able to play a specific day’s Daily Challenge on the day of; you can’t go back and do previous Daily Challenges, which is why it’s a good game hack to make sure you’re playing Woodoku every day, so you don’t miss out on any opportunities to earn more gems.
What is a good score for Woodoku?
From what we can tell, the average score for many Woodoku players seems to be around 1,500, with many players scoring between 1,000 and 2,000. Obviously, more skilled players may easily score higher than 2,000 or even 3,000.
