What are the Popular Snacks (and popular snaps) at the Ballpark?
Move over peanuts and Cracker Jacks–there’s a new ballpark snack in town, and it’s POINTS. Just kidding. Sort of. Did you know: you can submit receipts from your time at a baseball game (or any other sporting event) and earn at least 25 points a pop?
And of course, you earn even more if a beverage or salty treat came courtesy of a brand of Fetch. You could say…. We brought receipts. Or rather, our users did! Here’s some interesting receipt-snapping data we compiled across all 30 MLB stadiums from last season.
What Are Ballpark Foods?
Oh, boy! Let’s talk about the amazing world of ballpark food, shall we?
- First up, we have the holy grail of all ballpark food: the hot dog! Who doesn’t love a good ol’ hot dog in a bun, topped with all sorts of goodies like ketchup, mustard, relish, onions, and sometimes even chili?
- And let’s not forget about the all-important sides like chips, peanuts, and sunflower seeds, perfect for munching on while cheering on your favorite team.
- And of course, what’s a ballgame without an ice-cold beer to wash it all down?
So whether you’re a die-hard fan or just looking for an excuse to indulge in some delicious snacks, ballpark food has got you covered!
What Is the Most Popular Ballpark Food?
We reviewed all purchase data from all 30 MLB stadiums and found that across all MLB Stadiums, the most popular food and drinks are the following:

What Kind of Food Do You Eat at a Baseball Game? Local Food!
Let me tell you, there’s nothing like enjoying some local grub while taking in a ballgame! In addition to the traditional ballpark foods mentioned above we also see that fans at MLB games love to indulge in their local specific brands of food and beer because it’s a way of supporting their hometown and feeling like they’re part of the action. Who wouldn’t want to sink their teeth into a famous Philly cheesesteak while watching the Phillies play? Or sip on a cold and refreshing San Francisco-style Anchor Steam beer while cheering on the Giants? It’s all about the experience! And there’s just something about indulging in some deliciously unique ballpark eats and drinks that makes the game that much more enjoyable.
So whether you’re traveling to a new city or rooting for your home team, make sure to grab a local brew and chow down on some signature ballpark bites. It’s all part of the fun! Some other local favorites that had high purchase volume were:
- Kansas Citizens slurped up Belfonte ice cream at Royals games.
- Philadelphians couldn’t get enough of Rolling Rock beer while watching the Phillies.
- Red Sox fans ate up Calise Bakery products like hot cakes in Fenway Park
These stadiums landed in the top three for the most snaps in…

The Fetch HDPP 😔🌭
And introducing… the Fetch HDPP—or, the Hot Dog Per Patron index. We looked at the hot dog numbers… they weren’t great. Across ALL receipts submitted from ballparks, just .008 contained Hot Dogs! That’s less than one hot dog for every 10 baseball fans. Meanwhile, one in three receipts contained a salty snack. We’ve got to glam up those glizzy numbers!
Snap me out to the ballgame
So, whether you find yourself enjoying America’s pastime in person or from the comfort of your couch, don’t forget to snap your receipts to Fetch and earn points you can use towards your next salty snack!
