If you’re a parent of a Roblox-obsessed kid, you’ve probably heard the word “obby” more times than you can count. Whether you’re stepping on digital lava or bouncing between rainbow platforms, Roblox obby games are all the rage — and my 8-year-old has very strong opinions about which ones are best. So, we teamed up (OK, he told me what to write) to bring you this definitive ranking of the best obby games in Roblox, with real reviews straight from a very passionate young gamer.
Wait—can you really get free Roblox gift cards with Fetch Play?
You sure can! Here’s how.
If your kid (or you, no judgment) loves mobile games, Fetch Play is the ultimate bonus round. It’s a feature inside the Fetch app that lets you earn points just for trying out and playing popular mobile games — everything from puzzle games to adventures and more.
Those points? You can cash them in for Roblox gift cards. That means all that gaming time can help fund your next batch of Robux — perfect for buying cool gear, avatar upgrades, or unlocking premium perks in your favorite obby games in Roblox.
It’s simple: play new games, rack up Fetch Points, and redeem them for free rewards. Obby upgrades, here you come!
What is an obby in Roblox?
“Obby” is short for “obstacle course” — think of it like a mix between American Ninja Warrior and lava floor tag, all in a blocky digital world. These games challenge players to jump, balance, dodge, and race their way to the finish line. They’re some of the most popular Roblox games, especially for younger kids who love a good challenge (and a lot of rainbow-colored chaos).
Why kids are obsessed with Roblox obby games
Obbys are simple to play, endlessly varied, and surprisingly addictive. Some are easy Roblox obbys perfect for beginners, while others are the hardest Roblox obbys with rage-quit potential. They’re fast-paced, funny, and full of surprises — one minute you’re hopping on donuts, the next you’re dodging laser beams in space.
So without any further ado, here’s my 8-year-old’s official top 10 list of Roblox obby games!
Top 10 best Roblox obby games (kid-approved)
T.o.H.
Tower of Hell is a legendary obby that’s not for the faint of heart. There’s no checkpoint, no mercy, and no chill. Just you, a tall tower of pain, and the race against the clock. It’s become a rite of passage in the obby world.
Why my 8-year-old loves it: “I like that there’s no checkpoints. It makes it really difficult. I can see why people play it: it’s one of the hardest obbys on the platform.”
Escape the Evil Grandma Obby
Classic Roblox humor meets creative traps. You start inside a creepy grandma’s house and have to escape (using your best jumping and dodging skills) past dentures, yarn balls, and suspicious cookies.
Why my 8-year-old loves it: “I love this obby. This game is kind of easy actually. I like that her face glows bright red when she can’t catch you.”
Mega Fun Obby
With over 2,700 stages, this game is endless. The name says it all: each level is short, satisfying, and gets harder as you go. It’s the perfect way to keep boredom away on a rainy day.
Why my 8-year-old loves it: “I like this because it’s like a classic obby, like, all rainbow. It’s got different kinds of shapes to jump on and parkour off of.”
Speed Run 4
Less of a traditional obby, more of a fast-paced platformer. You sprint through colorful, trippy maps with parkour-style jumps. It’s all about speed, rhythm, and vibes.
Why my 8-year-old loves it: “You collect pets along the way, and they give you power to sell your items. You get money for selling them, and then you buy more pets. Plus, there’s so many different maps that you can play and so much fun to be had.”
Obby But You’re a Cube
The twist? You’re a cube. The physics are hilarious and unpredictable. It adds a fun (and sometimes frustrating) layer to the typical obby format.
Why my 8-year-old loves it: “This is a very cool game. I like that you’re a cube. It makes doing things a little more difficult. I would definitely recommend giving this a try.”
Escape the Carnival of Terror
Creepy clowns, spooky traps, and haunted rides — this one’s like a Halloween special every day. Great sound design and spooky surprises make it extra fun.
Why my 8-year-old loves it: “This one is made by one of the most well-like developers. Some parts are really hard, some parts are really easy. It’s an obby for both normal people and grinders, too.”
E.T.o.H.
Think Tower of Hell, but bigger, harder, and way more intense. Eternal Towers of Hell is a mega-obstacle course stacked with brutal stages, unpredictable traps, and a serious time crunch. It’s a favorite for kids who love a challenge, thrive on chaos, and enjoy yelling “How was I supposed to make that jump?!” every 30 seconds.
Why my 8-year-old loves it: “This game is even harder than Tower of Hell. There’s so many different levels, there’s so many different difficulty levels to choose from. It’s so hard that even some of the ultimate obby masters can’t beat this obby. It’s insane.”
Escape the Dungeon Obby
Grab your sword (just kidding — it’s all about jumping) and make your way out of a lava-filled medieval dungeon. With traps, timed jumps, and secret passages, this obby feels like an adventure game with extra parkour.
Why my 8-year-old loves it: “This game is a very unique style of obby. It requires really well-timed jumps and skill. This is one of the OG obbys. I remember when it first came out.”
Escape Baldi’s Parkour Obby
This bright and bouncy obby is packed with colorful platforms, springy jumps, and fast-paced action. It’s simple, silly fun — perfect for kids who love nonstop movement and surprises around every corner.
Why my 8-year-old loves it: “This obby is like the easiest thing ever. It again reminds me of the classic days where everything is colorful. This obby is really fun.”
Escape the Toilet Obby
Yes, this exists. And yes, it’s extremely popular. Expect gross humor, giant plungers, and a ton of laughs. It’s so dumb — and so good.
Why my 8-year-old loves it: “This game is a little bit like the game Ride a Box Down Stuff, which I also like. This game is kind of chill if you just want to relax and play some Roblox. If you’re a grinder, though, this might not be the game for you.”
