What is Spider Solitaire?
Spider Solitaire is a mobile card game that puts a spin on the more traditional game of Solitaire. Spider Solitaire is played with two decks of cards, and the object of the game is to complete 13-card runs in descending order, from king to ace, for a single suit; once you’ve completed a run, that suit is removed from your game. The goal is to complete these full-suit runs for all eight suits (remember, you’re playing with two decks, which is why there are eight, rather than four, suits).

What is the difference between Spider Solitaire and regular Solitaire?
There are a two key differences between Spider Solitaire and standard Solitaire:
- Standard Solitaire is played with only one deck of cards, while Spider Solitaire utilizes two decks.
- In standard Solitaire, you are building alternating-color runs (red, black, red, and so on) in descending order on the game board, while in Spider Solitaire, you are building same-suit runs for all eight suits (two 13-card sets of spades, two 13-card sets of hearts, and so on), which makes Spider Solitaire more difficult.
Is Spider Solitaire free to play?
Yes, Spider Solitaire is totally free to download and play for both iOS and Android devices. Download Spider Solitaire for free with Fetch Play!

How to play Spider Solitaire and win / What is the trick to Spider Solitaire?
There are several tips and tricks to keep in mind when playing Spider Solitaire that can help improve your ratio of wins to losses:
- Keep your eyes open and pay attention: Since the object of the game is to complete all eight 13-card suits as quickly as possible, you’ll need to pay close attention in order to not miss any opportunities that will help you build toward completing your runs.
- Start building on higher cards first: You have more opportunity to stack cards when you build off of the highest face-up cards; you have far fewer opportunities when you’re building off of lower cards.
- Turn over face-down cards as soon as possible: Flipping over your face-down cards creates more opportunities for you to build your runs, so the sooner you get cards face-up, the better.
- Move Kings to open columns: Kings cannot be stacked on other cards, and as mentioned above, you want to build off your high cards first, so moving Kings to open spaces as soon as you can takes both of these elements into account.
- Complete runs as quickly as possible: While this may seem obvious, the sooner you complete your runs, the sooner they can be removed from the board, allowing you to potentially turn over additional face-down cards (if your run was blocking any face-down cards) and clear up space for new runs.
- Empty columns as soon as you can: Empty columns or spaces can come in handy, as they offer additional “storage” for you while moving cards around the board. Because of that, they are premium real estate.

Following the tips outlined above (see under “How to Play Spider Solitaire and Win”) will set yourself up for success more often than not. And remember, the more tasks you complete when playing Spider Solitaire with Fetch Play, the quicker you’ll start earning rewards, so study up!
